Services for Kenneth “Ray” Puckett Sr., 78, of Dixon, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. The Rev. Donald Duncan will officiate, with burial in Townsend Cemetery in Dixon.

He died at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree.

He was a retired carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hallie Katherine in 2006.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Ray Puckett Jr. of Dixon; two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna Overby and husband Roger of Dixon, and Kathy Greenwood of Sebree; two brothers, Chester Puckett and Emory Puckett, both of Henderson; nine grandchildren, Stephen Overby and his wife Janie, Stephanie Overby, Meredith Clark Sutton, Tabitha Griffin, Eric Puckett and wife, Crystal, Emily Puckett, Kendra Puckett, Barbara Ann Nutter, and Scott Greenwood; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, and from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Larry Puckett, Clinton Puckett, Rodney Puckett, Jimmy Harmon, Bobby Brown and Benji O’Nan. pd.
