Sisters Restaurant to host 'open mic night'

A Providence resident is working with Sisters’ Restaurant to create a new opportunity for local people who want to share their love of the arts.

Richard Green will host the first “open mic” night this Saturday, March 27. Sign-up for the event begins at 5:30 p.m.

Green said singers, musicians, poets, and others with similar interests are invited, but asked participants to “keep it clean.”

“We want clean comedians,” he said.

Green said if the premiere is successful, “open mic night” could become a regular event, possibly on a Thursday night most weeks.

He encouraged people who don’t necessarily plan to perform to attend as well.

“We want an audience as much as performers,” he said.

For more information, contact Green at 667-5250.
