Edith May Blackwell, 86, of Clay, died Sunday, March 28, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

She was of Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband Leamon Blackwell in 1998.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Kay Syers and her husband Charles of Providence; one son, Sherman Lee Blackwell and his wife Brenda of O’Fallon, MO; one sister, Wanda Rogers of Earlington; four grandchildren and 10 great-granchildren.

Services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bro. Ralph Alexander officiating.

Burial was in Fraser-Blackwell Cemetery in Clay.
