A day packed full of activities has been planned to benefit a Webster County High School athlete.

Friends of WCHS junior Kenny Hayes will raise money to help purchase a new insulin pump that continuously feeds insulin to his body while regulating his blood sugars.

Hayes plays basketball and baseball for the Trojans and is also an honor student.

A variety of events including, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 basketball tournaments and shooting contests for all ages (kindergarten thru “old-timers”) are set for Saturday, April 24 at both Trojan gym and Dixon Elementary from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will also be a “pie throw” where Webster teachers and administrators will volunteer to be “sweet targets” for 5-minute time slots.

All proceeds over and above the amount needed for Hayes’ pump will be donated to the Diabetes Foundation.
