Douglas Jay Roth, 62, of Clay, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at his home in Clay.
He worked for Warrior Coal Company in the warehouse for 12 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended First General Baptist Church in Clay. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Roth.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Terri Roth of Clay; two daughters, Jennifer Jost and her husband Heath of Clay and Lisa Fowler and her husband Shawn of Madisonville; mother and step-father, Edna and Frank Frey of Cheotah, OK; step-mother, Micky Roth of Seguin, TX; two sisters, Karen Wass of Fresno, CA and Pam Teagarden of Bakersfield, CA; one step-sister, Lisa and two step-brothers, Randy and Mark; three grandchildren, Cali West, Sydney Fowler, and Keagan Jost; nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Bros. Ron Conley and Mike Putman officiating.
Burial will follow in New Clay Cemetery in Clay where military rites will be conducted.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Daugherty, Brian Teague, John Brantley, Jr., David Brantley, Silas Brantley and Ephrain Brantley.
