Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) officials announced last week a plan that will close Highway 132 in Webster County for up to six weeks.
The state is moving ahead with plans to replace an aging bridge a reposition a curve on that roadway that have become problematic in recent years. For that work to be completed, Highway 132 will be closed between mile points 12.2 and 12.4 from Monday Jun, June 14 through Monday July 26.
A marked detour will be in place while this work is performed. Highway 857 will also be closed during this time between mile point 0.0 — 2.0 with no signed detour.
KYTC ask motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
The start and duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra time in reaching their destination.
