Providence Police arrested a fugitive from Owensboro on Sunday night following a foot chase.

According to a release from PPD, Sgt. Carl Scheer and officer Isaac Frias were attempting to locate Cameron Frazier, 29 of Owensboro, a suspect wanted on warrants for assault and failure to appear, when they saw him at a residence on Middle Street.

Officers advised Frazier that he was under arrest, but he failed to comply with commands and attempted to flee on foot. He was captured a short time later and taken into custody.

A search of the suspect located a bag containing seven grams of methamphetamine and over 15 grams of synthetic marijuana.

He was arrested and transported to the Webster County Jail on charges of possession of meth and possession of synthetic drugs.
