Providence residents looking for something entertaining and different to do don't have to look far, as the Windy Hill Rodeo returns to Providence on Saturday night at 6 p.m.

"It's just a fun time," said Kayla Woodring, who, with her husband Michael, planned and organized the event. "It's a different thing for Providence."

This is the second rodeo hosted at the facility on Highway 120 west of Providence this year. The first, in April, drew an estimated 320 visitors, and the events organizers expect to see even more on Saturday.

Kayla said the Windy Hill Rodeo began as a dream for her husband, who has had a passion for rodeo for years.

"He had a dream and we followed it," she said. "There isn't a lot to do around Providence. We hope this will give people something to do."

This weekend's event will feature bull riding, mini bull riding, youth barrels, youth poles, adult barrels, adult poles, team roping and mutton busting.

Kayla said they plan to offer a number of activities for children to do during the rodeo, including pony rides.

Admission will be $8 per adult and $5 for children.
