A routine traffic stop last week landed two Owensboro residents behind bars in Dixon.

According to the Providence Police Department (PPD), Sergeant Carl Scheer and Officer Eric Elder observed a vehicle driving erratically and performed a traffic stop on Highway 814.

It was determined that driver Gianna Gamble, 22 of Owensboro, had outstanding warrants for her arrest in Daviess County.

The vehicle’s passenger, Madison Lee, 28 of Owensboro, was allegedly in possession of meth and marijuana.

Inside the vehicle officers also located a loaded syringe, oxycotin, larger bag of suspected methamphetamine, suspected LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide), a number of small baggies, and cash.

Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Webster County Detention Center.

Gamble was charged with trafficking in meth, possession of LSD, driving without a license and a bench warrant from Daviess County.

Lee was charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and having a prescription controlled substance not in the proper container.
