Two suspects were arrested last week on trafficking charges in Sebree following a routine traffic stop by police chief William Braden.
Braden reported stopping a vehicle being operated by Christopher L. West, 37 of Sebree, who was known to be operating on a suspended license. During the stop, a search of the suspect’s vehicle and its passengers was conducted. Officers reported locating meth, marijuana/synthetic marijuana,drug paraphernalia, personal use meth and cash, along with digital scales and packaging for controlled susbtance.
West, along with Shaymon L. Hancock, 21 of Henderson, were arrested and charged with first degree trafficking in meth, trafficking in marijuana, possession or drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Braden was assisted on the scene by Captain Donald Jones and Deputy Nathan Stinchcomb of the Webster County Sheriffs Department.
