Jimmy Goff, a longtime member of the Webster County Water District water board, passed away this week after a reported battle with COVID-19.
Goff, a resident of the Slaughters-area, joined the WCWD board in July of 2010.
During his time on the board, WCWD was able to celebrate many accomplishments, with perhaps the most important being able to become completely debt free in October of 2016.
Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree will be handling the services, but arrangements had not been set as of press time on Tuesday.
It will now fall to Webster County Judge Executive Steve Henry to appoint Goff’s replacement on the water board.
