Carl Thomas Hatler, 79 of Providence passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.

Carl was born October 7, 1940 in Madisonville.

He retired from the United States Army where he served from April 1958 to April 1978.

Carl was a member of White Oak General Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Eunice Ramsey 1 daughter Cynthia Thomas and 1 son Jamie D. Hatler.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy Hatler 1 daughter Carla Carpeneitti of Springville, AL and 1 son Carl T. Hatler of Madisonville 4 grandchildren Brandi Gudwien (Chad) of Birmingham, AL, Zachary Thomas (Jade), Lauren Thomas Hanor (Daniel) both of Slaughters and Lance Thomas of Henderson 3 great-grandchildren Logan Gudwien and Calen Gudwien both of Birmingham, AL and Cynthia Michelle Thomas of Slaughters.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Fraser-Blackwell Cemetery in Clay.
