Danny Patmore, 61 of Dixon, passed away on Wednesday February 22, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson. 

He retired from the Webster County Road Department after 15 years of service as a truck driver. He was a member of New Cedar Grove General Baptist Church in Tilden, where he was the song leader and ordained as a deacon in 2000. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Jordyn, riding and showing horses, watching UK Basketball, hunting, and singing gospel music. He also loved playing checkers. 

He was the son of the late Norman Eugene Patmore and Rinda V. Duncan Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Carroll Wilson; his grandparents, Ray and Jessie Mae Duncan, and Teddy and Alice Patmore; and his father-in-law, Shirley E. Smith. 

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Shirlene Smith Patmore of Dixon; one son, Cory Patmore (Lauren) of Providence; one sister, Norma Phillips(David) of Dixon; one brother, Dwayne Wilson (Michelle) of Dixon; his mother-in-law, Betty Smith of Dixon; one granddaughter, Jordyn Elizabeth Patmore; and nieces and great-nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday February 25, at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. Rev. David Bumpus and Rev. Jacob Bumpus will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden. 

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and after 8:00 a.m. on Satuday at the funeral home.
