Homer E. (Buster) Main 67, of Clay, KY passed away Friday February 24th, 2023 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. He was a carpenter for many years and served on the Dixon Fire Department for 45 years, where he was Assistant Chief, Level II Fire Instructor and a member of the Green River Fire Association. He was of the General Baptist Faith, former Pastor of several local churches, former Camp Director for several years at Camp Clark in Dixon, KY and attended Ship of Zion Church in Dixon, KY. He was also a former Boy Scout Leader, basketball coach and referee. A dad and papaw too many.

He was the son of the late Homer Squire and Arlene June Brown. He was preceded in death by a brother Homer Jr. Brown and a sister Barbara Schoenheit. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Patti Main of Clay, KY; 1 daughter Sarah(Andy) Glazebrook of Providence, KY; 1 son Larry(Melinda) Main of Owensboro, KY; 3 sisters Nancy Brown of Henderson, KY; Jennifer Hart of Louisville, KY and Ruthie Winebarger of Providence, KY; 5 brothers Gary Don Brown of Louisville, KY; Rick Main, Chris Brown and Robert Brown all of Dixon, KY and Joe Brown of Providence, KY; 6 grandchildren Preston(Destiny) Glazebrook, Colleen Glazebrook, Luke Glazebrook, Jacob Mosley, Maggie Main and George Main; 1 great granddaughter Charlotte Glazebrook; with many adopted children, grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday February 28, 2023 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, KY. Visitation will be Monday February 27, 2023 from 4pm-8pm and 8am till service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Reverends Dennis Williams and Jeff Burke will officiate. Burial will be in Slover Cemetery in Dixon, KY. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice 2410 S. Green St. Henderson, KY 42420.
