Jo Nell Blackburn went to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 22, 2022. She was born in Wheatcroft, Kentucky on October 30, 1929. At age 5, she and her family moved to Clay and she resided there until her death.

Jo Nell was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Bailey Blackburn, her parents Jim Ira and Myrtle Shoulders Marshall, and a much loved grandson, K. Marshall Blackburn.

She was a kind and loving mother to her children, Beth Blackburn of Clay, Bill (Angela) Blackburn of Bradenton, Florida, and Nancy (Vic) Brown of Poole. She will be missed by her grandson, William (Carmen) Blackburn of Bradenton and two great grandchildren, Ayden and Ariana.

Jo Nell leaves her best friend and living sister, Ann Holland of Clay, along with several nieces and nephews.

Until the time of her death, she was the longest living member of her church. Jo Nell served her Lord in many capacities throughout her life. She was privileged to serve as Clerk of Webster County for 16 years, from 1978-1993. She was the first clerk to be elected to four consecutive terms.

There was no visitation due to the COVID pandemic, with private funeral and burial. Memorial contribution may be made to Redeeming Love General Baptist Church Building Fun, P.O. Box 350, Clay, KY 42404.

The family would like to express their heart felt appreciation to the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY for their exceptional care and compassion.
