The Webster County Trojans headed to Louisville on Saturday for the 2022 Louisville Cross Country Classic, held at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park.
For the boys 5K Invitational, senior Layden Wagoner led the way for the Trojans, crossing the line in 13th with a time of 16:16.1. Fellow senior Garrett West finished 33rd, completing the course in 16:42.2.
Also running the race for Webster County were Brice Nelson(65), Aiden Whitsell (94), Preston Glassco (95), Liam Farris (232) and Landon Higdon (267).
In the girls’ invitational race, freshman Mayci Moore was the highest finishing Lady Trojan, completing the course in 86th with a time of 21:17.9. She was joined by Ava Stone (219), Delani Baskett (228), Emmy Zachary (263) and Caroline Nalley (300)
