Former Webster County Trojan basketball player Cameron Brown, also a former sports radio broadcaster and a sports reporter for The Journal-Enterprise, has started the next phase of his career after stepping into an assistant basketball coaching position with the Trigg County girls last week.
After entering college at Western Kentucky University as a journalism major, he later changed to education in hopes of pursuing a career in coaching. He graduated from WKU in May and began exploring his options.
Brown stated that he’d spoken with a number of schools about potential assistant coaching position, but the offer from Trigg County was the one that fit his needs.
He joins the staff of 2019-20 2nd Region Coach of the Year Cory Coble. Brown will begin teaching social studies at Trigg County High School this fall.
