Webster County Middle School’s archery team brought home 4th and 13th place finishes from Saturday’s Mustangs Round-Up at Muhlenberg County.
The middle school first team fired a 3.091 to finish just off the podium in the field of 14 teams. The connected on 95 tens in the event. The second team turned in a 2,685 and 38 tens.
Todd County won the event with 3,159 team points and 98 tens. Butler County was runner-up with 3,137 points and 118 tens, while Henderson North was 3rd with 3.097 points and 90 tens.
Breona Benson defeated all comers in the middle school girls competition, claiming the tournament individual title. She topped the field of 180 middle school females with a 289 behind 20 tens. Benson also turned in the second-best performance at the tournament, which featured 417 female archers.
Hannah Clark earned a top 10 finish with a 268 and 12 tens, taking 10th place and 44th overall. She was 2nd among 51 7th graders.
