The Lady Trojans returned from a COVID-19 break to go 3-1 during the last week, knocking off Union County, Central Hardin and Christian County.

Webster faced off against 6th District rival Union County on Tuesday night in Dixon to get the week started.

The Lady Trojans started the game by outscoring the Bravettes 13-9 in the first quarter. Then in the second quarter the Lady Trojans would outscore the Bravettes, this time 16-9, to hold a marginal 13 point lead at halftime with the score at 29-16.

Then to start the second half the Lady Trojans would get outscored by the Bravettes 15-9 as the Lady Trojans would have a 7 point lead over the Bravettes heading into the fourth quarter with the score 38-31. Then in the fourth quarter the Lady Trojans would outscore the Bravettes 14-4 as the Lady Trojans would come away with a 17 point win over the Bravettes with the final score being 52-35.

The leading scorer for the Lady Trojans was sophomore guard Brooklyn Clark with 20 points while shooting 6 for 8 from the free throw line on the night. Sophomore guard Katelyn Cates contributed 11 points while knocking down 3 three pointers while junior forward Sydney Shoulders tallied 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Junior forward Raigan Price scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. To round out the scoring for the Lady Trojans, 8th grade guard Karsyn Cates and sophomore guard Brooke Shepherd added 2 points each on the night.

As a team, the Lady Trojans shot 11 for 20 from the free throw line and knocked down 3 three pointers while grabbing 29 total rebounds on the night.

The Lady Trojans continued their season this past Friday night against 6th District rival the Henderson County Lady Colonels at home in Dixon.

The Lady Trojans started the game by getting outscored by the Lady Colonels 11-10 at the end of the first quarter. Then in the second quarter the Lady Trojans would outscore the Lady Colonels 14-10, as the Lady Trojans held a slim 3 point lead at halftime with the score being 24-21.

Then to start the second half the Lady Trojans would get outscored by the Lady Colonels 13-5 as the Lady Colonels held a 5 point lead heading into the fourth quarter with the score being 34-29. Then in the fourth quarter the Lady Trojans would get outscored by the Lady Colonels 13-11 as the Lady Trojans would suffered their 6th loss of the season by 7 points with the score being 47-40.

The leading scorer for the Lady Trojans was sophomore guard Brooke Shepherd with 9 points while knocking down 3 three pointers on the night. Junior forward Mary Kate Rakestraw contributed 8 points while shooting 2 for 2 from the free throw line while also grabbing 4 rebounds. Sophomore guard Brooke Clarke tallied 7 points while senior forward Adeline McDyer scored 4 points. Sophomore guard Katelyn Cates added 4 points while junior forward Raigan Price tallied 4 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. To round out the scoring for the Lady Trojans, junior guard Madison Hinton added 4 points on the night.

As a team, the Lady Trojans shot a perfect 12 for 12 from the free throw line and knocked down 4 three pointers while grabbing 20 total rebounds on the night.

The Webster County Lady Trojans continued their season on Saturday morning against the Central Hardin Lady Bruins on the road in the Statewide Mortgage Valentine Shootout in Louisville.

The Lady Trojans started the game by getting outscored by the Lady Bruins 11-10 at the end of the first quarter. Then in the second quarter the Lady Trojans would outscore the Lady Bruins 11-10, as the Lady Trojans and the Lady Bruins would both head into halftime with the game being tied at 21.

Then to start the second half the Lady Trojans would outscore the Lady Bruins 17-8 as the Lady Trojans held a 9 point lead heading into the fourth quarter with the score being 38-29. Then in the fourth quarter the Lady Trojans would outscore the Lady Bruins 15-14 as the Lady Trojans would come away with a 10 point win over the Lady Bruins with the final score being 53-43.

The leading scorer for the Lady Trojans was junior forward Raigan Price with 21 points while shooting 5 for 8 from the free throw line while knocking down 2 three pointers and grabbing 8 rebounds on the night. Sophomore guard Brooke Clarke contributed 13 points while shooting 7 for 10 from the free throw line while knocking down 2 three pointers while junior forward Mary Kate Rakestraw tallied 7 points. Junior forward Sydney Shoulders scored 4 points while sophomore guard Katelyn Cates and junior guard Madison Hinton added 3 points each. To round out the scoring for the Lady Trojans, senior forward Adeline McDyer tallied 2 points on the night.

As a team, the Lady Trojans shot 15 for 24 from the free throw line and knocked down 6 three pointers while grabbing 25 total rebounds on the night.

On Monday the Lady Trojans faced Christian County Lady Colonels on the road in Hopkinsville.

The Lady Trojans started the game by outscoring the Lady Colonels 21-6 at the end of the first quarter. Then in the second quarter the Lady Trojans would outscore the Lady Colonels 13-4, as the Lady Trojans held a 24 point lead at halftime with the score being 34-10.

Then to start the second half the Lady Trojans would outscore the Lady Colonels 18-10 as the Lady Trojans held a 32 point lead heading into the fourth and final quarter with the score 52-20. Then in the fourth and final quarter the Lady Trojans would get outscored by the Lady Colonels 8-3 but the Lady Trojans would come away with a 27 point win over the Lady Colonels with the final score being 55-28. The Lady Trojans improve to (5-6) on the season while the Lady Colonels fall to (5-3).

The leading scorer for the Lady Trojans was sophomore guard Brooklyn Clark with 20 points while shooting 2 for 4 from the free throw line while also knocking down 4 three pointers on the night. Junior forward Raigan Price contributed 17 points while shooting 2 for 3 from the free throw line and grabbing 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard Katelyn Cates tallied 5 points while sophomore guard Brooke Shepherd scored 4 points. 8th grade guard Karsyn Cates added 3 points while senior forward Adeline McDyer tallied 2 points. To round out the scoring for the Lady Trojans, junior guard Madison Hinton and junior forward Mary Kate Rakestraw added 2 points each on the night.

As a team, the Lady Trojans shot 4 for 7 from the free throw line and knocked down 7 three pointers while grabbing 28 total rebounds on the night.

The Lady Trojans next game is scheduled for this Saturday afternoon against the Breckinridge County Lady Tigers on the road in Hardinsburg at 1:30 p.m.
