Webster County’s girls cross country team placed four of its five scorers in the top 10 to dominate the field Saturday in the McCracken County Cross Country Invitational in Paducah.

The Lady Trojans had finishes of 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 8th, and tallied 24 team points for the title. They finished 27 points better than 2nd-place Graves County’s 51. WCHS averaged 23:42, about 90 seconds better than the Lady Eagles. Webster’s individual scoring was 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8.

Mayci Moore paced Webster scoring with her first podium finish of the season, coming in 2nd in a time of 22:57.13.

Reece Powell posted a 4th-place run for the Lady Trojans, crossing the finish line in 23:17.78.

Ryleigh Powell finished in 7th with a clocking of 23:47.33, and Grayson Haynes followed in 8th with a time of 23:53.90. Drue Wyatt took the final scoring spot for Webster with an 11th-place 24:35.70.

Six Lady Trojans ran outside the scoring, led by Ava Stone in 15th with a time of 24:56.32.

Lilly Whitsell came in 21st with a 26:46.90 time., while Delani Baskett crossed the finish line in 27:18.85 for 26th. Caroline Nalley finished in 30:02.64 for 39th, and Emily Major took 41st with a time of 31:23.85. Molley Utley rounded out the WCHS finishes with 54th in 36:54.71.

Emma Madding won the individual meet for Graves County with a time of 22:34.26. Fulton County’s McKayden McClure was 3rd with 23:09.66 on the clock.

The Lady Trojans are scheduled to compete in the Mustang Stampede Saturday. The meet will be hosted by Muhlenberg County at the high school’s East Campus located at 2900 State Route 176 in Greenville. The girls’ varsity run is set to begin at 9:00 am.
