Lyon County’s girls soccer team is one of the front runners in the competition for the Second Region crown this season. The Lady Lyons’ 8-1-1 record leads the pack at the midway point of the season, and they have outscored their opponents 62-12 in those ten matches.

Webster County ran across LCHS in Dixon last Thursday, bowing to the Lady Lyons 8-0.

Lyon County posted 30 shots on goal in the game, allowing just 11 on defense.

Lady Trojans netminder Devanne McLean saved 22 shots in a complete match.

LCHS got multiple goals from three different player in its win.

Rose Smith accounted for half the visiting team’s offense on the night with four goals. Alice Smith and Leah Schroeder posted two goals apiece for the Lady Lyons.

The two teams are scheduled to face each other again Thursday in Eddyville, with a 6:00 pm start time. Webster was scheduled to play Calloway County in the Class 2A Sectional on Tuesday.
