The Webster County Lady Trojans soccer team opened their season last Thursday night, September 10th, on the road against the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm in Madisonville.

It was a rough opening for the Lady Trojans, who fell to the Lady Storm 6-0.

Lady Storm sophomore Priya Holmes scored 4 goals while senior Katelyn Cavanaugh scored 2 goals on the night. Lady Storm sophomore Lillie Melton recorded 1 assist while senior Keri Reynolds recorded 1 assist of her own.

Freshman Lady Trojan goalkeeper Davanne McLean had 9 saves but allowed 6 goals on the night.

The Webster County Lady Trojans continued their soccer season Monday night September 14th on the road against the Crittenden County Lady Rockets in Marion.

The Lady Trojans second outing of the year ended in a 3-3 tie.

Lady Trojan sophomore forward Brooke Shepherd scored two goals while freshman forward Allison Jaime scored one on the night. Senior midfielder Mia Morales and junior forward Brooklyn Conrad each recorded one assist on the night.

Freshman Lady Trojan goalkeeper Davanne McLean had 12 saves and only allowed 3 goals on the night.

The Lady Trojans played last night on the road against the Henderson County Lady Colonels but that game was after press time.

The Lady Trojans will play again next Monday night September 21st on the road against the Union County Bravettes.
