All good things must come to an end.

The Webster County volleyball team posted its first-ever winning season in school history this season, and the Lady Trojans seemed poised for their first-ever 2nd Region Tournament win when they won the first two sets of the match against Crittenden County.

But the Lady Rockets had other plans for the Lady Trojans.

Crittenden County stormed back to take the final three sets of the match, and the Lady Rockets dealt the Lady Trojans a 3-2 loss (25-23, 25-13, 22-25, 18-25, 10-15) last Tuesday night at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School.

Audrie Ellis led Webster in the loss with two aces, followed by Adrianna Lopez, Kylie Hardison, Macey Corum, and

Makenzie Lane with one ace each. Maggie Jones ended the evening with 19 kills, followed by Lana Eastwood with 15. Hardison and Eastwood each finished with 15 assists. Jones led in blocks and serve/receive percentage, while Eastwood led the team in digs.

Even though the team lost the regional game, they picked up the first ever set wins at the regional tournament. Maggie Jones and Lana Eastwood also recorded over 200 kills each on the season, and were named to the All-Second Region Tournament Team and All-Second Region Team, respectively.
