For the second consecutive season, Webster County tennis has been recognized by the Second Region coaches for its outstanding leadership.
Mary Schalk was named Second Region Coach of the Year during awards ceremonies at the regional tournament last week in Henderson.
“What an honor,” Schalk said. “I am humbled.”
The coach attributes the recognition to the work her players and assistant put in during the season.
“My peers recognize the work both my players, parents, my assistant coach Emily Ellis, and I put into Webster County tennis” she said. “I am so very proud of our athletes — past, present, and future. They are the ones who reflect a quality program.”
