Webster County had a very proficient week this past week in summer ball as the Trojans had a 3-0 showing at Bethel's team camp last Tuesday before going 5-2 at Western Kentucky University's team camp over the weekend.
At Bethel -- which is where former Webster County player Cayden Edmonson currently plays -- the Trojans defeated Notre Dame (MO), Humboldt (TN), and West Creek (TN) to remain undefeated and improve to 5-0.
Webster then toppled Marion (IL) and Clinton County at WKU on Thursday before the Trojans suffered their first defeat of the summer season to Greenwood on Friday night. The Trojans had defeated Elizabethtown and Sheldon Clark earlier in the day before falling to the Gators. Webster won one game in the tournament on Saturday before being eliminated by Bowling Green.
Meanwhile the Lady Trojans were off this past week but will play McLean County and Evansville Harrison across the river at Harrison on Wednesday. Webster will then travel to Murray State on Tuesday before closing out the summer at USI next Saturday and Sunday.
