Webster County's season on the soccer field came to an end at the hands of Madisonville-North Hopkins for a second straight year as the Maroons defeated the Trojans by a score of 10-0 in the first round of the 2nd Region Tournament in Hopkinsville on Monday night.

The Trojans also lost 10-0 to Henderson County in the 6th District Championship Game last Tuesday. Webster finishes the 2019 campaign with a 3-14-1 record and a 2-8-1 mark against 2nd Region opponents.

Meanwhile the Lady Trojans also fell to Henderson County in the district title game as Webster was without the services of assists leader Mariah Austin in the 10-0 loss--the junior being injured during pregame warmups.

The Lady Trojans played University Heights in the first round of the region tournament on Tuesday night, but the conclusion of that game was after press time.
