The Webster County boys soccer team split a pair of matches last week, moving its record to 2-3 on the young season.
Graves County 5, Webster County 1Graves County benefited from an active offense and a stingy defense in its 5-1 defeat of Webster County last Thursday in Dixon.
The Eagles got goals from four different players, and allowed just four total shots on goal in the win.
John Pardo led GCHS with a pair of scores from his midfield position.
Graves also picked up goals from Eddie Romero, John Perry, and Ryan Hayden. Perry also added two assists in the match, with Hayden adding one and Luis Romero a pair.
The Trojans goal came off the foot of sophomore forward Andy DeLamar.
David Velasco earned the assist on the score.
Webster County 7, Lyon County 1The Trojans returned to the pitch Saturday, claiming an offense-heavy victory on the road at Lyon County.
Webster got off an incredible 26 shots on goal in the win, scoring on 27% of its attempts.
Andy DeLamar and Jacob McVay paced WCHS scoring with a pair of goals apiece. McVay added an assist to his afternoon.
The Trojans also got single scores from Jaxen Miller, Rocky Juan, and Aidan Wilson.
Juan also marked two assists in the match, and Denny Rivas added one.
Webster County was scheduled to play at Hopkins County Central Tuesday after press time. They are slated to host Murray Saturday at 6:30 pm.
