The Webster County Trojans took third at the state cross country meet on Friday in Paris, KY.

The Webster County Trojans ran their way to a third place finish on Friday in the State Class AA Boys’ cross country meet held at Bourbon County Park in Paris, Kentucky. And perhaps the best point for the Trojans squad is that four of the fop six finishers for the team will all be back next season.

Junior Trevor Baker led the way for the Trojans, finishing 16th in a time of 17:36.68. He was followed by sophomores Aidan Whitsell in 29th (17:48.94), Garrett West in 32nd (17:50.0) and Layden Wagoner in 33rd (17:51.96).

A group of senior rounded out the field for the Trojans. Ryan Roland was 35th (17:54.56), Vincent Major was 65th (118:40.95) andGrant Warren was 132nd (19:46.68).
