The October 14th City Council meeting was twenty minutes long and started with the minutes of the last meeting being approved by Commissioner Webb and seconded by Mayor Townsend. The bills were approved by Commissioner Heady and seconded by Commissioner Shoots. With the bills came a donation by Ricky Bourland for $1,000 for the Bourland Park. The Spray Park and the Sensory Park are on their way to being finished by November with the Spray Park’s plumbing and concrete being close to finished. 

The second reading of the Tax Ordinance was approved by Commissioner Shoots and seconded by Commissioner Webb. This Tax Ordinance would set a tax of .1497 cents per $100 assessed valuation for Personal Property and set a tax of .133 cents per $100 of assessed valuation of property listed and equalized for taxation or real Property. 

Unknown Water Loss has went down to 14.05%, this drop in water loss is the result of the replacing of the High School’s water meter. Trick or Treat hours have been set to 4p.m.-7p.m. as well as the Trunk or Treat hours. The meeting was called to adjourn by Commissioner Heady and seconded by Commissioner Heady. The next regular meeting will be November 11th and City Offices will be closed on November 11th for Veterans.
