On Friday April 24, 2020 the Green River District Health Department (GRDHD) reported 22 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases – 7 in Daviess County, 5 in Henderson County, 9 in Ohio County and 1 in Webster County. The total number of reported COVID-19 cases in the district is 284. Thirteen people in the district are currently hospitalized. Of the 284 confirmed cases in the district, 43 (15%) have required hospitalization. The district-wide total of recovered cases is now 131 (46%).

That brings Webster County's total number of confirmed cases to 22, with 9 being considered fully recovered.

“We all play a part in stopping the spread of COVID-19. Stay home, avoid crowds, wash your hands, and practice physical social distancing – staying at least 6 feet away from others. We have to stick with this strategy. We can’t let our guard down.” said Clay Horton, Green River District Health Department Public Health Director. “We expect to see more new cases. It is crucial we do everything we can to stop the spread of COVID-19.”
